Little Angel’s Dog Rescue is backed by an incredible team of people who have dedicated themselves to rescuing dogs and helping them find forever homes. Our dog rescue provides shelter and care to all sorts of dogs in need. With hearts bursting with love and determination, our Little Angel’s team never backs down from a challenge – no dog is too difficult for us to help.
Vanessa Layne
CEO & President
Vanessa is a resident of Saint David, AZ. Driven by a passion to save dogs, Vanessa shares time between the dog rescue and her studies for her college courses. Vanessa is married with a child, along with one grandchild. Vanessa plans on staying at the rescue for years to come. Her motto is “Adopt a dog, save a life.”
Marissa Boardman
Director / Shelter Coordinator
Marissa resides in Phoenix with her two rescue dogs, Benny and Butters. She works as a Realtor, as well as an advocate for at risk dogs. Her passion is helping dogs in need of foster and forever home placement. Her favorite quote is:
“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.”

Southern Arizona Medical Coordinator
Alyssa Dembowski-Pletsch is our southern Arizona medical coordinator and she resides in Sierra Vista, AZ. She is passionate about helping dogs and puppies who need it the most, especially the large breeds.
