Sometimes when we find a committed foster to take and foster from Maricopa’s E-list we go ahead and pull, the reason behind these said dogs for being on E-list is usually medical or behavioral. Behavioral sometimes to them can be a fear dog or just not wanting to walk on a leash. We recently pulled Daisy who had a puncture wound on her head and was labeled a “fear dog” I would be scared to if I had a puncture wound and was put in a noisy scary place. Daisy is a 5 year old female cattle dog mix whom was placed in foster. Thankfully she had amazing foster parents who took their time with her while staying patient and letting her come to them, with a fear dog sometimes this is the only way to gain their trust. After about 5 weeks Daisy is finally coming out of her shell, not all the way their but just enough her wonderful foster parents decided to adopt Daisy so she can now live her best life in her forever home. It’s such a joy to see an ending like this.
