Foster First!
What is foster first? It’s quite like it sounds.
Before any pup is adopted through Little Angel’s, they are placed in foster care until they find their furever home. Not only does this help us, it also ensures your chosen pup will be a good fit for your family, home and lifestyle.
Little Angel’s will cover all expenses, including but not limited to: vaccinations; veterinary visits; basic necessities to care for dog such as food, leash, collar, etc.
Grow your family and save a life.
Why is Fostering So Important?
Dog fostering serves an incredibly important but often overlooked role in helping dog shelters and rescue organizations. For many dog shelters, there are always long waiting lists of dogs needing homes with far fewer dog-lovers able to provide those homes. Fostering provides a vital bridge to help more homeless dogs find forever homes by giving these dogs the chance to stay with loving foster families who can give them the confidence, socialization and time to adjust before they get adopted into a permanent home. Not only does dog fostering help more dog come off the streets, it also gives potential adopters a better idea of what kind of dog they might be suited for; this helps make sure that both dog and family are getting the right fit for each other.
Have you ever considered what it's like for a dog to wait for their forever home? Fostering is an amazing way to make sure dogs are safe and healthy before they find their perfect match. It's more than just caring for stray dog – fostering is about creating the best environment possible until they find the right home. Not only will this give dog owners peace of mind, but it will also help dog get ready to become lifelong companions. For dogs that have experienced trauma or need special care, foster homes are invaluable in getting pups back on track and build trust with people once again.
Although some abandoned pets may have been without love and companionship for a long time, they can still learn to warm up to humans! By providing your foster pet with social interaction, you will help them start feeling secure again. With patience & understanding their fearfulness quickly turns into appreciation.
Foster home environments are invaluable in helping to prepare pets for adoption, as they can get a comprehensive understanding of their personalities and learn basic behavior commands. This allows our furry friends to gain the skills necessary for them find loving forever homes faster!
When you foster a pup in need, it not only helps an individual animal find love and comfort, it also allows Little Angel's to make room for even more furry friends awaiting their own chance at happiness!
Little Angel's works hard to ensure no dog ever has to face euthanasia. By monitoring local lists, we are able to keep vulnerable pups safe and protect them from heartbreaking situations.

What Does the Adoption Fee Cover?
Taking home a dog is a big decision, and here at Little Angel’s we want to make sure that you are equipped with all the resources possible when making your choice. This is why our adoption fee is mandatory for each pup. The fee varies based on the pup’s age. It may seem expensive when compared to other larger organizations, but rest assured that we are committed to making sure every dog has the best chance of having their perfect, loving home!
As a small and local organization, this fee can help us cover the expenses associated with fostering and caring for each dog with individualized attention before it finds its forever family.
If a pup is 16 weeks old or younger, we require foster-to-adopt as the dog will still need necessary care such as vaccines. When fostering to adopt, half of the fee will be paid up front and the remaining half upon adoption.
